nightmare

I was quite frustrated after losing some of my thesis writing. Whole of my y'day's work had got corrupted and it took me 3-3.5 hrs to get over my shock/frustration/futile attemtps of recovery and final redo of whole thing (not to forget yday's 3 hrs of writing the thing in first place). I still dont know how and why the hell did it get corrupted. But I realized that I had stuff on XP partition which I was accessing from Mac. So probably somewhere in between switching from Mac to hibernated XP, things messed up. I shall be more careful about data separation from now onwards and not consider the mounted XP volume as just a local drive on Mac. Its really sick to write the same stuff again. But anyways, my advise to all the macbook users with XP installed - do not work on XP data through Mac while hibernating it. I was doing it earlier too but got into problem for the first time.

Anyways, it's over as of now. On a good note, the weather is finally beautiful and you can enjoy the outdoors. A reminder to all procrastinators - tax filing date is approaching! Rest, I look forward to a good spring (possibly last one in the time to come) at Illinois.
