the great idiosyncratics - part 1

I was watching this video and I just had to 'put it down' somewhere:
Depp on Letterman Show

Absolutely fantastic sense of humor! I think people definitely love these 'distinctive' gentlemen so much more because of their amazing mannerisms. The first man I am talking about is obviously Johnny Depp. You got to see the above video, his movies (esp Pirates) to feel for yourself. In fact, all of his interviews on Letterman (apparently he has appeared thrice) show are so damn cool!

The other typical guy I can think of right now is the croatian tennis acer Goran Ivanisevic. He is not only famous for being the only player to win Wimbledon on a wildcard, but rather for so because of his quirks and erratic-but-sweet mannerisms on court. He could shout, he could break racquets, but more than anything, he could make public smile and love him. Few of his quotes -
"The trouble with me is that every match I play against five opponents: umpire, crowd, ball boys, court, and myself."
"I might play in another final there and don't want that stupid (runner's up) plate for a fourth time. I am going to win Wimbledon one day -- even if it is the over 40s doubles ..."
