Not that I give special credit to this day, but it does make me think of the word 'love' today for some reason. There are 3 kinds of people tonight - one, eagerly awaiting the clock to strike midnight; two, hating this day for their heatbreaks; three, not giving a damn. I guess theres a fourth category too who dont care but are aware of this day and have no opinion..
Thanks to the westies for giving India, oops, I should say Archies and Hallmark this day. But then I should say thanks to the Archies and Hallmark for propaganding this day to the otherwise unaware easterners coz suddenly every Asian wants to celebrate this day :) No harm! The day is not far when we would have hate-day, sympathy-day, peace-day blah blah..
Alas, I have no roses and champagne to celebrate V Day. And with practically every website advertising their web-dating concepts, I think I should be the only lone (n confused) human being out there! I never get the concept of online dating services but apparently there are people availing their services, else, not every web site would be competing for it. After all, miracles do happen. The idea of relationships have kept changing since centuries. What I can't help laughing at is the idea of people like Karan Johar talking about failure of marriage as an institution in current society and SRK (oooh the God) nodding in approval. Amazing couple I should say!
I have seen a lot of variation in thinking, approach and beliefs of people from east to west, when it comes to relations. I have mine too and that doesnt give me a right to disregard the choices of other people. I am still 'desi' at heart and respect (my) Indian sentiments. So, here I am, and this is just another day..
