I am getting very chef-ish these days. After all as Gusteau said, "anyone can cook"! :) I am talking about Ratatouille for those who are yet devoid of this simple marvel created by Disney. I would just say 'Hats Off' to the creator. Its just delicious. I would even go to the extent of saying that this is the best animation in recent times (not comparing with some fairy tales by disney like snow-white, beauty and the beast, cinderella etc that are unbeatable classics).
So, back to cooking! new apt..new enthusiasm...new kitchen. I spend time hunting for good recipes and recent addition in my collection is the 'Noodle and Co. pasta fresca' which I had been utterly missing after leaving Champaign. I have to collect some herbs and perhaps 'wine' and this and that. Kehte hain khaane se zyada maza khilaane me aata hai. Aisi company dene wale mil jaayein to taste apne aap aa jaata hai. So, I have been trying to experiment and use spices with unbounded hands these days. Its fun more than anything else. And I guess thats the secret...the day you start cooking for fun rather than the only option for survival, you'll be bitten by this art....for art it is, one that innervates the sense of taste, smell and vision.
