Bhutto's assassination: what next?

Today shall be remembered as Benazir Bhutto's death anniversary for long time to come. An immensely influential and powerful politician and one of the rare females to have achieved that stature. She will be remembered for an eventful career that is often attributed to politics, the power game that Pakistan witnessed in 80s and 90s and the family name politics. For me, she is a figure that was more-than-average educated, charismatic and news-maker.

I do not hold any opinions on her character that has been tarnished with corruption, misuse of power and ineffective leadership. It is indeed unfortunate that she failed to make a mark in a positive manner. It was undoubtedly brave on her part to return to Pakistan after the assassination attempt she faced few days back but only indicates that she failed to recognise the gravity of the circumstances and possibly couldn't differentiate between allies and enemies. The current political scenario in Pakistan is a fine example of ugliness and abusage of political control. The situation seems to be degenerating and can prove explosive not only for the country itself but also rest of the world. Some very convoluted political drama is unfolding and hopefully we all will survive to witness the climax.

It's all a big mess. I'd be totally short the KSE index!
