to learn is the key to excitement

I had a most incredible time at canvas tonight, perhaps the most satisfying session till now. The main cause behind which is understanding (I hope) the idea behind glazing for the first time and what it can help achieve. One of my biggest fear in painting has been the water reflections which I did rather poorly in the 'rainy-day' because I couldn't get the transparent effect properly, oil colors seemed always too thick. But the effect I got with the Winsor and Newton gel is amazing. I am so stupid to not have tried that before but anyways!
So, I am happppy with the efforts and the painting seems to be evolving rather beautifully.
I am just not getting enough time to exploit my interests but I shall not let that hamper me for too long.
