Melbourne action

I do not remember Australian Open being so entertaining ever before. Not only is it springing surprises but challenging and entertaining matches. Even before semis, we've witnessed the clash of Serbs and Williams, Sharapova and Henin, Djoko vs Hewitt! Now, if you rate these matches, Jankovic Vs Serena and Ivanovic Vs Venus have been thoroughly up and down. Sharapova's victory over a jaded belgian did not come up as exciting as it should have been but the names themselves guaranteed excitement. And well, who thought an unheard name will make Federer sweat for 5 sets and make him throw his best record of 39 aces. Then there have been upsets of Mauresmo and Roddick. It was return of Davenport who now holds the record for highest earning women tennis player. Given such sizzling stats, next rounds look more promising and challenging. I hope the semis and finales would keep up to the trend. I would say Serbs are right now ruling the kangaroo land.
