strange friends

To meet and go away is the rule of life. And sometimes, you got to cross roads with someone you had left behind long ago. There might be no expectations or anxiety but it can't be tranquil either. Past is rarely unblemished and more than bright, it is grey. And till the time, humans possess a capacity to hold on to memories, it is impossible to not flicker on reflecting upon the past. One can control the reaction but can not control reacting.
But, life has its own surprises. The person you thought you knew, knew well enough may turn out to be a complete stranger. Meeting and knowing people, for sure, does not move along together. By the time I departed, I thought I knew the person even lesser than the last time. Had I lost a friend the last time? Perhaps. Had I gained it for a small time and lost again? No, what I lost now is the feeling of losing a friend.
