a tribute to New York

The view of river Hudson dividing the states of New Jersey and New York and the sight of heavenly downtown of Manhattan is something that I can boast off of everyday at work. I've seen it now on clear days, bright sunlight, torturing heat, ice cold nights, blizzards, mild snow, drizzle, heavy rain, sunlit days and moonlit nights. I am a lover of nature but I feel a sense of pride and strength when I look at the massive architectures shooting up to the sky. One has got to see the brilliant lights, thousands and thousands of them, at night as if mankind has conquered his weaknesses and raise up to hail the God and show him what he has achieved. They are not simply the buildings, they are a consummate art form etched by man on the canvas of nature. A magnificence that only the losers can deny or the impotent can deride. It is a feat that can be achieved only by the sheer will, intelligence and brains of mankind. Those have been the destroyers who could air raid Japan but to create this skyline, it is nothing but the accomplishment of creators and thinkers. Disillusioned are those who dare to condemn the mankind and demean its creations. Imbecile are those who dream for fairies and a 'better' world, their escapism reveals their inability to create. Those who demean this age belong to the pre-historic times and probably not even there because that too was the survival of fittest.

If that one look at the majestic New York City skyline and the Lady Liberty greeting you from the New York bay doesn't overwhelm you and make your blood rush through your head, then my friend, there is something wrong with you.
