too much technology

I wonder what is it like working in non-technical fields. I just dont see anyone satisfied with their jobs in technology. Is it something wrong with the people, the field itself or that its just too over-crowded. To see PhDs wasting themselves in coding the stuff, that actually non-technical people can do after 2 months of training, disturbs. One can not attribute it completely to the bad politics and inefficient management either. The question is how long can one keep on coding. After one has designed 5-10 challenging and cool softwares, there is not much creative stimulation left. Its unfortunate and disturbing. And its so different from our parents' generation. I dont think anyone changed their jobs in whole life, leave apart the yearly switching prevalent in IT industry. On a brighter side, its high paying with less stress. IT industry has, in fact, stolen the shine from once-highly-reputed administrative services in India. There were some cases where IAS officers switched to jobs at private companies because govt. services are not paying that much.
Anyways, tarbooz is really distracting me now and I'll conclude here. Well, there is no conclusion but I got to analyze this problem coz after all I might be a potential victim!
