As an outsider and someone new to the American way of electing the President, I have been more amused than impressed with the proceedings till now. The democrat nominees have relentlessly bickered, spent crazy money and have indulged in gaffes at times in their quest to win the nomination. It started off as a fresh modern process of healthy politics, got tiring in the middle with all the vilification and is now at a stage where people just want to get it over irrespective of who emerges out victorious. Its a relief indeed to see the end almost near and that tomorrow might be the decider. Sen Obama, with a victory in North Carolina, should be thanking his stars for making it through the unfortunate course of events transpiring in last few primaries. While, it looks most likely that the Illinois Senator will be the one surviving this grueling fight, it will be interesting to see how much of him is left to fight the undisputed Republican nominee.
I have not followed the history of nominees closely but still looking at the primaries coverage, Clinton seems so manipulative and fake. Her shrewdness, however, deserves some kudos for exploiting Obama's mistakes and weaker points to the full in last month. By all means, Obama looks a more refined and dependable candidate. At the end of day, they might not significantly differ but the impressions they have given certainly leave Clinton as the less preferred one(we are not talking about the republican supporters of course).
Ah and as I am finishing this, it seems Clinton will narrowly win the Indiana votes. The news articles tomorrow should be very interesting.
