last blog @ champaign

My house is almost empty except for the bare necessities and the stuff that I shall be giving off tonight. It is obviously looking cleaner after my trying 3 different vacuums. But I do not like the look of this. Its as if I am removing myself from it, which is, well, true. Moving process is pretty tiresome apart from the sentiments involved. But hopefully, this is not the beginning of an end but the end of just a beginning.

I love Champaign-Urbana and everything about it. I shall miss the quiet campus, the Altgeld Hall chimes, the Grainger quad walks, the Union games, the green street meals, Krannert Center lights, the presence of Alma Mater, the cafeteria at Siebel, the MTD campus buses, the snow storms(never thought I wud), the squirrels :(, the bunnies and every small detail that I've got accustomed to withing past 2 years. I will utterly miss CSL (howsoever bad the building is), my little office corner, lab coffee hours with some of the great labmates one can ever have, the ground in front of CSL (where some desis r trying to build a new cricket team these days), the Beckman (where I've often seen Swati coming out of), the Grainger (where I got to read some nice books from) and of course the best building I've ever seen - the Siebel Center.

Funny how sentimental one can get. I have no words for the wonderful friends that I met here. I am hopeful of seeing them in future. All in all, I've had great 2 years here at Chambana. I shall pay visit sometime as an alumni. I shall end this last post from my apt here now as I've still some cleaning left.

I wonder what location would I be writing next from but it shall be soon......
